Remembering the King of Pop, Michael Jackson

June 25, 2009. It was a tragic and shocking day for the entire world. Michael Jackson was found dead in his home. He suffered a cardiac arrest due to prescription drug overdose of the anesthetic propofol. His death shocked the entire world as millions offered prayers for the Jackson family. He was 50.

June 25th, 2013, the world still remember their hero, the music icon, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
The world commemorated Michael Jackson's death with vivid memories of the life he lived and the music he created. It's been four years after the King of Pop's death and his name still makes headlines.

According to reports by Los Angeles Times, hundreds of fans gathered at the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (where Jackson's remains are kept) to pay their respect, say a prayer, and leave red roses to their beloved idol. Some of the fans were reportedly heard chanting "Michael!" in an outburst of emotion for a person that to them was and is a part of their life.

Years have passed since his death, but Michael Jackson's legacy and unparalleled contribution to the music industry will forever be remembered and celebrated by the world.

I, for one, remember him as one of the best singer ever....the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

[Lyrics] Robin Thicke Blurred Lines ft T.I and Pharrell Williams

[Intro: Pharrell]

Everybody get up

Everybody get up

Hey, hey, hey

Hey, hey, hey

Hey, hey, hey

[Verse 1: Robin Thicke]

If you can't hear what I'm trying to say

If you can't read from the same page

Maybe I'm going deaf,

Maybe I'm going blind

Maybe I'm out of my mind

[Pre-chorus: Robin Thicke]

OK now he was close, tried to domesticate you

But you're an animal, baby it's in your nature

Just let me liberate you

Hey, hey, hey

You don't need no papers

Hey, hey, hey

That man is not your maker

[Chorus: Robin Thicke]

And that's why I'm gon' take a good girl

I know you want it

I know you want it

I know you want it

You're a good girl

Can't let it get past me

You're far from plastic

Talk about getting blasted

I hate these blurred lines

I know you want it

I know you want it

I know you want it

But you're a good girl

The way you grab me

Must wanna get nasty

Go ahead, get at me

[Verse 2: Robin Thicke]

What do they make dreams for

When you got them jeans on

What do we need steam for

You the hottest bitch in this place

I feel so lucky

Hey, hey, hey

You wanna hug me

Hey, hey, hey

What rhymes with hug me?

Hey, hey, hey

[Pre-chorus: Robin Thicke]

OK now he was close, tried to domesticate you

But you're an animal, baby it's in your nature

Just let me liberate you

Hey, hey, hey

You don't need no papers

Hey, hey, hey

That man is not your maker

Hey, hey, hey

[Chorus: Robin Thicke]

And that's why I'm gon' take a good girl

I know you want it

I know you want it

I know you want it

You're a good girl

Can't let it get past me

You're far from plastic

Talk about getting blasted

I hate these blurred lines

I know you want it

I hate them lines

I know you want it

I hate them lines

I know you want it

But you're a good girl

The way you grab me

Must wanna get nasty

Go ahead, get at me

[Verse 3: T.I.]

One thing I ask of you

Let me be the one you back that ass to

Yo, from Malibu, to Paribu

Yeah, had a bitch, but she ain't bad as you

So hit me up when you passing through

I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two

Swag on, even when you dress casual

I mean it's almost unbearable

Then, honey you're not there when I'm

With my foresight bitch you pay me by

Nothing like your last guy, he too square for you

He don't smack that ass and pull your hair like that

So I just watch and wait for you to salute

But you didn't pick

Not many women can refuse this pimpin'

I'm a nice guy, but don't get it if you get with me

[Bridge: Robin Thicke]

Shake the vibe, get down, get up

Do it like it hurt, like it hurt

What you don't like work?

[Pre-chorus: Robin Thicke]

Baby can you breathe? I got this from Jamaica

It always works for me Dakota to Decatur, uh huh

No more pretending

Hey, hey, hey

Cause now you winning

Hey, hey, hey

Here's our beginning

[Chorus: Robin Thicke]

I always wanted a good girl

I know you want it

I know you want it

I know you want it

You're a good girl

Can't let it get past me

You're far from plastic

Talk about getting blasted

I hate these blurred lines

I know you want it

I know you want it

I know you want it

But you're a good girl

The way you grab me

Must wanna get nasty

Go ahead, get at me

[Outro: Pharrell]

Everybody get up

Everybody get up

Hey, hey, hey

Hey, hey, hey

Hey, hey, hey

Lindsay Lohan's younger days photos

Lately, I have been following some of the celebrity news and Lohan is one of them....given the rehab swap that is on the news.
But really, what turns an innocent young child into such a troubled life (so to say).

I am not sure what happen along the way but looking back at the old photos, you just somehow have the belief and hope of her coming out strong again.

We are definitely not going to have the young, innocent Lindsay Lohan again but at least we're hoping for her recovery in the rehab center.

First photo of Lindsay Lohan from rehab center

It has been some time since we heard anything positive about Lindsay Lohan but if a photo is to tell a 1000 words, this photo suggests that she is back on track, happier, healthier and better.

The photo which shows her smoking in the balcony suggests that she is happy and doing well.

The 26-year-old is seen to be laughing and chatting with other patients, dressed casually with her red hair in long, loose waves.

Lohan is in the midst of completing a 90 days rehab sentence and she has about 2 months left....hopefully, this rehab period will bring the best out of this talented young lad.

Man of Steel [Review]

If you have yet to watch the Man of Steel on the Big Screen, you are missing something big. The world most famous superhero is back in an evolutionary manner...the S that is known as Superman is not an S...it's a Krypton language that means hope.

The beginning of the movie was amazing.

Snyder and Nolan have modified the beginning of the story so that a primal clash has been designed into the narrative from the get-go. The planet Krypton is dying, due to environmental issues. Dignified soldier-statesman Jor-El rails against mismanagement of the planet's resources; he is played by Russell Crowe. Zod uses the crisis to launch a failed mutiny against the planet's revered leaders. After some amazing fighting scenes, we also get to see how Jor-El and wife, Lara sent their baby boy, Kal-el to a much younger planet, Earth.

The child arrived on Earth and it was clever of how the director uses some narrative flashback to tell the tale of Clark growing up. There was some introduction to character like Pete, Lana but no where to be seen is the famous Lex Luthor. It wasn't long before the introduction of Lois Lane...who was quick to follow on the trail of Clark, after being saved by him.

Lois Lane is a pretty supercilious star journalist, on the trail of the Man of Steel ever since rumours of his adolescent feats of strength started to leak out, and prone to temper tantrums with her editor, Perry White, played by Laurence Fishburne. "I'm a Pulitzer prize-winning reporter!" she yelps. "Then act like it!" booms Perry. That, of course, is what Amy Adams thinks she's doing, but her role is sketchily conceived in this fanboy creation.

Then, the invasion of General Zod and his army for Kal-el began and it was a time for Clark to decide....to trust the human race or not?

Shannon does what he does as Zod, and this role has reasserted this actor's virtual monopoly on scary-with-a-touch-of-integrity roles. Then the movie suddenly become a fighting game....with all those movement and fighting scene, one must applaud the 3D technology.

Well, there was one scene that really captured my heart though...the moment where Clark test his limits by flying...it was almost real...the way he tried to make a giant leap, and trying to control his flying ability....definitely making 3D a much better choice for this movie.

Sadly, there was not much romantic moment between Lois Lane and Superman...and let's be honest....Henry Cavill is a good looking Superman but his lack of humor convinces me that Christopher Reeve remains the best Superman on the Big screen.

Well, overall, it was a great remake...a lot of initiative and ideas have been put into this movie. Great effort to show this is a 21st-century superhero who must steel himself against the agonies of being misunderstood by the people he is trying to help. Man of Steel indeed....sometimes you must take the leap of faith. That's a big word.

The movie ain't bad but probably too much expectation is there....I guess at the end of the day, Man of Steel is still an entertaining superhero movie, with a lot of great action scenes...watch it on 3D to get all the effect!!

After Earth

If you are one of those who is interested to know what might happen to the human race and the Earth after all what we have done to pollute and destroy the Earth, then After Earth might just offer you another perspective that what might happen to the Earth and the human race in the future.

A millennium after cataclysmic events that forced the human race escape the Earth to another planet, Nova Prime, a crash landing leaves Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his father Cypher Raige (Will Smith) stranded in a planet their ancestors used to call home. The movie starts with the scene inside a spaceship crashing.

Then, it is back to three days ago where Kitai Raige was not promoted to become a Ranger, as a welcoming gift for his father, General Cypher Raige and was disappointed although he truly believe that he in fact outperform his father. It is definitely not going to be a happy and joyful welcoming dinner and father and son had some argument, and Cypher decided to patch up by bringing Kitai to the next "business" trip.

Man of Steel

Some called it the most anticipated movie of the decade...some are saying that it will be the "most dullest superhero" attempt to get it right this time...in "Man of Steel", with the British actor, Henry Cavill as the latest guy in the red cape and blue pyjamas.

Man of Steel

Well, we all know how well the last reboot of "Superman returns"....and when I said "well", I mean real bad...grossing a disappointed $200 million domestically (not forgetting the budget was at $270 million). It was widely viewed as a boring and forgettable movie.

Superman, celebrating his 75th anniversary this year has become more of an icon and flagship character but on the big screen, the superhero fails to connect with the audience like he used to in the 1930s. Probably it is not the superhero that has changed but maybe it was the audience that is no longer the same.

He hasn't been so relevant since the 1940s and 1950s....it is probably a bit difficult to understand and relate to a guy from outer space who doesn't have the same problem as ordinary people do.

However, let's hope that for some reason, a production of Christopher Nolan and the cast like Henry Cavill will help to revive this superhero....

Well, this looks like a job for Superman.
The job: Saves Superman!!

[Lyrics] I dreamed a dream

[FANTINE]

There was a time when men were kind
When their voices were soft
And their words inviting
There was a time when love was blind
And the world was a song
And the song was exciting
There was a time
Then it all went wrong

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving

Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted

But the tigers come at night

With their voices soft as thunder

As they tear your hope apart

As they turn your dream to shame

He slept a summer by my side
He filled my days with endless wonder
He took my childhood in his stride
But he was gone when autumn came

And still I dream he'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather

I had a dream my life would be

So different from this hell I'm living

So different now from what it seemed

Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.

Paris Jackson to star in a movie

It had been some time since we heard the news about Jackson but ever since the attempted suicide by the only daughter of Michael Jackson, news have leak that Paris and her grandmother, Katherine, have signed a deal which will see Paris Jackson stars in "Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys".

This leak was due to the possibility of an increase in insurance premium for the movie....

A source connected with the animated flick tells TMZ, "There's a policy that we will have to buy now that we would not have had to buy prior to the incident." The source goes on, "We're prepared to pay a large amount of money for the policy," adding, "Fortunately, we have a big budget."

The news is that the producers are fully supportive of Paris to star in the movie, all the more after the "suicide attempt"....

Welcome to Hollywood!!

David Moyes completes first signing

David Moyes has completed his first signing as Manchester United's manager after the Premier League champions announced the arrival of the right-back Guillermo Varela.

The 20-year-old Uruguayan is joining from Atlético Peñarol after a successful trial. United's website did not disclose the fee but Peñarol's treasurer, Rodolfo Catino, has said the deal is worth up to €2.8m (£2.4m).

Moyes, who has replaced the retired Sir Alex Ferguson, will be able to view Varela in action immediately at the Under-20 world championships, which take place in Turkey from 21 June to 13 July.

Varela has nine Under-20 caps but has played only one senior game for Peñarol, whose coach, Jorge da Silva, has said: "This is what he deserves. It is a shame to see him go but you can't deny him the opportunity to join a club like this."

Paris Jackson attempted suicide

If you haven't heard, the 15 years old daughter of the late Michael Jackson, Paris had attempted suicide.

This photo shows her with her brother, Prince

Paris Jackson, the most sensitive of all Jackson's kids?

Just two days ago Michael Jackson’s only daughter, Paris, did something any average teenage girl would do. She posted a lengthy video of herself applying makeup for all to see. Forty-eight hours later, the 15-year-old was being rushed from her family’s home to a nearby hospital after a possible suicide attempt.

Sources close to the Jacksons confirm that the 15-year-old was taken by stretcher from the home she shares with her grandmother and two brothers, after family members found her passed out in her room. The 911 call from inside the Jackson residence indicated that it may have been a drug overdose, while sources at the hospital say the young girl had multiple cuts on her wrists. The cuts didn’t appear to be fresh.

Even more disturbing is the suggestion that this wasn’t her first attempt at suicide.

“She’s given the family a scare before,’’ said a close family friend. “All of Michael’s kids have had a rough time since their dad died, but Paris is the most sensitive of the three. She takes everything to heart, and the last year of family strife hasn’t given her much time to regroup or heal.’’

Paris’s last tweet on Tuesday posted a lyric from “Yesterday,” a song by the Beatles. “Yesterday all my troubles seem so far away now it looks though they are here to stay,’’ she wrote.

Well, she is currently physical well...the family is asking for a respect of their privacy....

Fast and Furious 6 [Review]

If you are one of those who have been following the Fast and Furious series, you will find that it is becoming more and more dramatic…at times, it seems to be totally illogical watching the latestFast and Furious 6. The movie has a pleasingly casual vibe though….that the main characters aren’t any superheroes, nor are they obliged to save the world. They are just a bunch of guys and girls who love to drive fast cars, within or outside the boundaries of law. Even then with all the destructions and bizarre damages at times, they are guided by a wholesome, blue collar ethos. Their father figure, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) believes above all in loyalty to his surrogate family, not forgetting about his insistent on saying grace.

WARNING: Spoiler ahead

The movie pick up from where it was left behind in Fast Five, where Dom, Brian and their crews are semi-retired millionaires. The movie started with Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) came asking for Dom’s help together with his crew. (contradict to what he did the last round….pursued them through Rio last time)

Wisely, Hobbs wanted to use the street-smarts of Dom, Brian (Paul Walker) and the rest of the crew for a mission. The target is a gang of pro hijackers led by ex-Special Ops solder, Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). The reward is the full pardon for Dom and his crew. The bait? That Dom’s ex girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) is back from the dead and appear to be working with Shaw.

Luke Evans was way too cool in his character as Shaw. An early encounter shows Shaw causing major Canary Wharf carnage, driving a pimped Formula 1 style car that can flip oncoming vehicles up in the air like pancakes. (how cool is that?) Well, director Justin Lin ensure that you get what you wish for…an amazing action packed movie, even though it is a bit illogical at times….

Fast and Furious 6 is the movie where you will find fast cars, beautiful girls with amazing body feature, a formula 1 style car, tanks, airplanes, super muscular hunks fighting scenes…not forgetting the ladies as well. Ya, that’s right…you basically have everything here…and Justin Lin has done it so well to ensure it does not feel weird to see so much of all these actions in a single movie.

With Hobbs accompanied by a hot new sidekick, Riley (Haywire’s Gina Carano), such is the ever-swelling cast list that it felt they would need to ditch the Ford Mustangs for People Carriers. The movie also managed to blend in some beautiful moments for each of the different characters….the tender flirtations between Han (Sung Kang) and Gisele (Gal Gadot), the banter between Tej (Ludacris) and playboy Roman (Tyrese Gibson)….each of them get their moment. Carano was good in the movie, especially with her fist. The fighting scene between her and Rodriguez was simply brilliant.

Everyone play a part

I like the part where Dom literally jumped across the bridge to save Letty….a lot of people probably gonna complained that the director overdo it but I think it was simply awesome.

“How did you know there would be a car here to break our fall?” says Letty after the especially unlikely death-defying leap. “I didn’t.” Dom admits. “Some things you just have to take on faith.” Action movie metaphysics in a nutshell…that sums it all!!

Not forgetting the awesome starting....I just wonder how could Dom go back to Letty when there is a hot Brazillian awaiting...
