Euro 2024: England get double fitness boost on eve of final

On the eve of the Euro 2024 final against Spain, England has received a significant morale boost with Harry Kane and Kieran Trippier participating in Saturday's crucial training session. Both players, essential to the team's lineup, had been substituted for injuries in the tense 2-1 semifinal win against the Netherlands. Trippier faced a groin issue, while Kane suffered a foot injury during a pivotal play that led to England's penalty equalizer.

In a positive turn, all 26 squad members were active in the final practice at the Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land before heading to Berlin for the final showdown, offering manager Gareth Southgate a full roster to select from. This comes as England seeks its first major men's title in 58 years. While Southgate considers adjustments, including potentially starting Luke Shaw at left wing-back, Kane is expected to lead the line despite Ollie Watkins' impressive semifinal performance.

The final has drawn significant attention, with an estimated 35,000-40,000 England fans expected in Berlin, far surpassing the official allocation of 10,000 tickets. With the game sold out, ticket prices on resale websites have soared, starting at approximately £1,700.
