The Smurfs

Finally have a chance to watch The Smurfs in the big screen on Saturday afternoon with a friend of mine. For those who thought the Smurfs was anything new, the Smurfs actually was a cartoon series that the people from my generation might have watched it during our schooldays. The cartoon series involved group of blue fictional characters called Smurfs, mostly males and these characters are very short, only three apple high. Almost all characters look essentially alike with blue skin, white trousers with a hole for their short tails, white hat in the style of a Phrygian cap, and sometimes some additional accessory that identifies a personality.

Back to the movie, the Smurfs were enjoying their happy life, as always and are preparing for the Blue Moon festival; and Papa Smurf has a vision that the Smurfs will be captured by the evil wizard named Gargamel and the whole event actually caused by Clumsy Smurf, thus when Clumsy asked Papa permission to pick up some herbs nearby Gargamel's castle, Papa Smurf rejected the idea.

Well, of course Clumsy ignore Papa's advice to stay home, and while picking up these herbs, he stumbled upon Gargamel and chase by him. In his desperation, Clumsy unintentionally revealed the location of the Smurfs' Village.

When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into our world. The chase did not stop there, Gargamel follow the Smurfs out to our world and this is where Clumsy accidentally fell into a box which belongs to Patrick Winslow and the other Smurfs have no choice but to follow him to his house in order to rescue Clumsy.

And well, the Smurfs met Patrick and his wife, and his wife loves them and allows these cute blue creatures to stay at their home while they find the way back to their magical world.

Hmm....I guess I'm not going to spoil it for those who has yet to watch The Smurfs, but I reckoned that the movie is best watch in 3D although I just watch it in 2D. The movie is definitely a great one with many funny scenes and enjoyable for one big family to watch.

Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol

Anyone who has already watched Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol would have notice that Mission Impossible 4 is a little bit different from the previous three Mission Impossible(s). I am not sure why there are many critics on Tom Cruise acting, but to me, he is ok. I mean, I know a lot of times, they are saying that Mission Impossible is like talking about himself, but I really beg to differ. Mission Impossible is not really about Tom Cruise alone, I mean he is the leader, he do most of the dangerous work, but behind him is a group of capable secret agents who can support him in all the missions. Anyway, back to Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol. The story started with a chase on a roof in one of a building in Budapest and the agent look so cool when he jumped down and look upwards to shoot the chasers.....but however, was later assassinated by a female assassin. Then we have Ethan Hunt break a prison from Russia with the help of IMF agents and proceed to accept a mission to infi

[Review] Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice

The movie begins with the flashback of Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) of his childhood when his parents were brutally murdered in Gotham, which finally transform this young kid to become the Dark Knight. And then it's been almost two years since the Superman's colossal battle with General Zod devastated the city of Metropolis which lead to the loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne. That is how Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice started off. The 152 minutes movie showing Batman/Bruce Wayne who somehow has some of the vision of the future that Superman is a threat to mankind intend to end his reign on Earth started to study Superman or Kryptonians. And then, the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) who is also started his crusade against the Man of Steel. England vs. Switzerland Euro 2024 Quarter-Final Preview: Teams, Key Players, and Chances of Winning

The Euro 2024 quarter-final clash between England and Switzerland promises to be an exhilarating encounter as both teams vie for a spot in the semi-finals.  Team News and Key Players: England:  England comes into this match with a full squad available after Jude Bellingham was cleared to play despite his recent controversy. Bellingham, who has been pivotal for England with two goals in the tournament, will be a key player to watch. His late equaliser against Slovakia showcased his ability to deliver under pressure. Manager Gareth Southgate will likely stick with his preferred formation, featuring a strong defensive line and a dynamic midfield. Harry Kane, England’s captain and top scorer, will be leading the attack, supported by the likes of Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka. The midfield trio of Declan Rice, Kalvin Phillips, and Bellingham will be crucial in controlling the game and creating opportunities. Defensively, England has been solid, with Harry Maguire and John Stones forming a reli
